Euro to dollar today: Euro news: Finance chiefs want to bolster euro to rival the US dollar as major currency

European authorities say they want to bolster the international use of the single currency and have called on the central bank to get behind their efforts. The Commission has reportedly held consultations with public and private operators in recent months in order to determine how best to bump up the euro. Talks showed “broad support for reducing dependency on a single dominant world currency”.
